EULAR Workshop for Trainers on Crystal Detection and Identification in Synovial Fluid11 June 2008, Paris, France
The technical capacity for crystal detection and identification in synovial fluid is one of the activities included in the EULAR core curriculum of Rheumatology This workshop is aimed to rheumatologists working in training units.
AimTo provide the attendants with enough basic knowledge as to enable them to start in their own rheumatology units a laboratory on synovial fluid analysis for crystal detection and identification. The final aim is to enforce the technique of crystal detection and identification in training units assuring the training of their residents.
ParticipantsRheumatologists with training responsibilities working at rheumatology training units. A maximum of 16 will be admitted.
VenueThe workshop will be held at the Palais de Congrès in Paris,
MethodThe workshop will include a short introductory session, followed with time for individual discussion. The faculty will include Eliseo Pascual (Spain) and Thomas Bardin (France) as chairs; José Pimentao (Portugal), Leonardo Punzi (Italy), Francesca Oliviero (Italy) and Francisca Sivera (Spain) as tutors.
