Activities

Below is a summary of the core activities planned over this next year. There will be continued discussion and consideration of new ideas for forthcoming years.

SURVEY: THE FUTURE FACE OF RHEUMATOLOGY

EMEUNET launched a first survey in spring 2010 in order to identify the demographics, interests and career plans of trainees in Europe. The data  gathered is valuable in informing how EULAR and EMEUNET can ideally address their needs.

Are you interested in seeing who the young professionals working in the field of rheumatology in Europe are?

INVOLVEMENT IN EULAR STANDING COMMITTEES

EMEUNET working group members will have the opportunity to observe on the various EULAR standing committees:

  • ESCCA (clinical research)
  • Epidemiology
  • Paediatrics
  • Education
  • Imaging
  • Investigative rheumatology (basic science)

Each EMEUNET working group member may observe on one of these EULAR standing committees for no more than 2 years. Although the main objective is to derive insight into the practices of such committees, a young/emerging rheumatologist's perspective may be discussed. Presence at the usual 2-3 meetings /year will be expected, participation by the current working group is expected to be active following EULAR 2010.
