AFLAR
The African League of Associations For Rheumatology

AFLAR is a regional league created in Cairo in August 1989 by the delegates of thirteen national societies (Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Zaire, Cameroun, Kenya, Nigeria, Togo, Congo, Republic of Centrofrica). It was admitted as the fourth regional league of ILAR by the Assembly of ILAR in September 1989. Currently AFLAR accounts 20 African nations as members.

APLAR
The Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology

APLAR was established in 1963 in Sydney. Four nations - Australia, India, Japan and New Zealand - together pronounced the formation of SEAPAL (South East Asia and Pacific Area League Against Rheumatism). The first Congress was held in 1968 in Bombay (India). Since then, SEAPAL has grown with many participating nations. It is now known as the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology.

PANLAR
Pan American League of Associations for Rheumatology

PANLAR (Pan American League of Associations for Rheumatology) is an umbrella organisation founded in 1943, which fosters cooperation between the 22 countries in this geographical area: North, Central, Caribbean, Andean and South America. Members of PANLAR are national scientific or medical organisations interested in and concerned with the aims of PANLAR.
