Visiting Professor programme
Every year EULAR sponsors the visit within Europe of 5 distinguished rheumatologists or scientists working in the field of rheumatology. Each award is up to EUR 7,000 for travel and accommodation.
The programme is open to Rheumatology Societies, University Medical Schools, and Departments of Rheumatology in countries where there is an educational need. The visiting professor should stay at least one week, give several lectures, run hands-on courses and take part in other educational activities or ward rounds as applicable. Following the visit the visiting professor should submit a report to EULAR.

Applications of institutions interested in hosting a visiting professor should include:
- Objectives of the visit
- Schedule of activities, approved by the proposed guest.
