Standing Committee for Clinical Affairs
Applications for project grants
EULAR welcomes project or research applications from rheumatologists all over Europe. Applicants should be aware of a standard procedure for applying, internal evaluation, and decision-making.
- Applicants are invited to first submit to the Secretariat a letter of intent.
- Based on the letter of intent, following internal review led by the chairman of the relevant standing committee, applicants may be invited to submit a full research proposal.
- Research proposals will be reviewed by a EULAR evaluation group as well as independent external reviewers. Following evaluation, the EULAR Executive Committee will make a final funding decision at its next available meeting. Funding decisions will be made twice a year, in March and September.
- If an application is approved, all task force participants will need to fill in a "Declaration of Interest".
Call for research proposals
Occasionally, EULAR may also issue a call for project proposals on a specific topic. Such calls will be announced on the EULAR website ("Spotlight").
