Focus groups withing the sphere of musculoskeletal medicine may apply for EULAR endorsement and also support through the Standing Committee for Clinical Affairs.

• EUSTAR (EULAR Scleroderma Trials And Research) group
  With the aim of "fostering the awareness, understanding and research of scleroderma and its management throughout Europe". Now in its second trienneium of EULAR support, EUSTAR has as of September 2008 150 centres in 5 continents with over 6,000 patients registered in the minimal essential data set (MEDS).

• EUVAS (European Vasculitis Study Group)
  Aimed at encouraging multicentre clinical trials in vasculitis, this EU initiated multidisciplinary group is endorsed and part supported by EULAR.
