Congress Assistant (100%), Kilchberg – Zurich
The European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) is the organisation which represents the people with arthritis/rheumatism, health professional and scientific societies of rheumatology of all the European nations. EULAR is a non-profit scientific and educational association recognised by Swiss law. Each year, it hosts a congress with approximately 14,000 delegates www.congress.eular.org.
The Congress assistant will be responsible for supporting the Congress team in daily tasks related to the planning and execution of the annual European Congress of Rheumatology.
Your tasks:
- Prepare folders, documents and correspondence with external partners as required and support with briefings and meeting minutes
- Preparation of timelines, definition and control of deadlines, ensuring prioritisation and effective follow-up
- Proper control of the supporting documents in collaboration with different departments at EULAR
- Support Congress Scientific coordinator in planning and implementation of the scientific programme on the IT-platform m-anage.com
- Support the Congress Abstract coordinator on all abstract related interfaces
- Support the Corporate relationship manager in daily tasks and email correspondence with industry partners
- Support organisation of the Congress committee meetings
- Support congress promotion in close collaboration with Communications: website, mailings, newsletters, social media
- Support all congress activities and related communications in close cooperation with the Congress, Events Teams and the PCO, and ensure effective collaboration with involved EULAR resources
- Support in database maintenance, congress measurements and documentation for compliance and reporting purposes
- Contribute to general EULAR Office and project activities, as required
- Support in integration of various
stakeholders needs and integrating them within the overall congress
objectives
Your profile:
- Higher education diploma
- Previous experience in congress/event coordination, ideally gained in a medical association or PCO
- Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure close to the congress
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English, German or any other European language a plus
- Good IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong team player
- Availability to travel internationally
- Interest
in working with diverse people from different cultures.
