EULAR study groups are established networks in their respective fields and play an active part in the research and treatment of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. Reproductive Health and Family Planning (ReHFaP)
There is an increasing focus on topics related to reproductive health (ReH) and family planning (FaP) in patients with autoimmune, rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMD). Both patients, physicians and the broader multidisciplinary team recognize the challenges in communication about reproductive issues.

Lung involvement in Rheumatic Musculoskeletal diseases
The EULAR Study Group on lung involvement including interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs) aims to bring together an international group of experts with a special interest in lung involvement and ILDs. The study group partly evolved from the EULAR task force “ERS/EULAR Clinical practice guideline on Connective tissue diseases with ILD”.

EULAR Implementation Study Group
This is a study group that started in a EULAR Task Force on implementation. This task force proposed several standardised operating procedures for implementing recommendations (available at the EULAR website). In addition, the Task Force has published an article in Ann Rheum Dis entitled “Implementation of recommendations in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases: Considerations for development and uptake”.

EULAR Study Group on Systemic Autoinflammatory Diseases
The Study Group on Systemic Autoinflammatory Disorders will be open to the contribution of any new Applicant among clinicians, researchers, allied health professionals and patients from European and non-European Countries. The study group shall meet at least annually during the EULAR Congress. Ordinary communication between members will be maintained throughout the year by e-mail.

EULAR Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) Study Group
This is a study group that evolved from the EULAR Task Force on SLE. It has published recommendations on the diagnosis and management of SLE, neuropsychiatric lupus and lupus nephritis in the Ann Rheum Dis (available at the EULAR website). The task force has also published recommendations on points to consider when conducting lupus clinical trials.

EULAR OA Trial Data Bank Study Group
Based on small to moderate effectiveness of the wide range of symptomatic treatments in OA, and the heterogeneity of OA patients, treatment guidelines for OA have stressed the need for research on clinical predictors of response to different treatments. EULAR endorses this inititative and will help increase visibility for all data-deliverers and all individuals interested in joining this study group.

EULAR Lupus Nephritis Trial Network Study Group
The mission of the Lupus Nephritis Trial Network (LNTN) has been designed to improve outcomes for patients with lupus nephritis through: (1) the conduct of clinical trials designed to prevent chronic kidney disease and end-stage kidney failure, and (2) the development of clinical trial methodologies that improve and simplify the assessment of therapeutic agents.

EULAR Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Study Group
Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of biologics is a potentially important development in the management of patients with a variety of rheumatic conditions. It refers explicitly to the measurement of circulating drug concentrations (drug levels), and anti-drug antibodies, in patients receiving biologic drugs. The purpose of this EULAR Study Group is to debate different questions on this subject.

EULAR Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis Study Group
The DISH Study Group aims to investigate the clinical presentation and diagnostic procedures patients suffering from or being suspicious for the diagnosis of DISH. Since the early clinical symptoms of this disease are unclear, the relations to new bone formation, axial and peripheral joint pain and the occurrence of a metabolic syndrome need further clarification. Furthermore, the best suitable diagnostic criteria still need to be identified from the many proposals that exist in literature.
