EU-OSHA
EULAR and its member organisations in Europe, together with EU Agency for Occupational Health and Safety Administration of the European Union (EU-OSHA), are raising awareness about the risks of RMD development in the workplace - and highlighting the opportunities there are to mitigate and manage these risks.
EULAR is a proud sponsor of the EU OSHA Lighten the Load campaign.
Alliance for Biomedical Research in Europe
The Alliance for Biomedical Research principal goals and objectives are to promote the best interests and values of research across all medical disciplines in Europe. The alliance particularly seeks to facilitate and improve biomedical research, develop a framework for better training and mobility of young researchers and improve public understanding of medical science. EULAR joined the alliance in 2011 and actively participates in its activities.
The discussion about the implementation of the EHDS is continuing and a general update on the negotiations between the European Parliament and the Council, as well as stakeholder positions, can be found in the EP draft report on the EHDS.

Innovative Medicine Initiative (IMI)
The IMI represents a new approach to research funding at European level. Such Joint Technology Initiatives (JTI) and European Technology Platforms were designed to create private-public partnerships (PPP) for research and development.
Together with other leading medical societies, EULAR contributed to the establishment of IMI. The IMI research agenda includes an overall section on inflammatory diseases, which includes arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

EULAR Policy Statements
As part of its advocacy activities, EULAR produces and adopts a number of documents and declarations that are used to express EULAR’s position and/or demands on different policy issues.
EU Parliament Interest Group on RMDs
The European Parliament Interest Group on Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Diseases (RMDs) was created in 2009 on the occasion of World Arthritis Day (12 October) and was re-established during the current parliamentary term (2014-2019).
