The EULAR PARE Community
EULAR PARE is the network of national organisations of People with Arthritis/Rheumatism across Europe, united to ensure the voice of people with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs) is heard and has influence among decision makers within Europe, and create powerful alliances that will make a difference to their lives.
To achieve this, the committee organises a range of high-quality activities and programmes for its community.
The EULAR Young PARE Community
The EULAR Young PARE community, a EULAR PARE working group, aims to improve the quality of life of young people (18 to 35 years old) with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs) by raising the profile of these conditions, and by creating a network of individuals who work in European countries on behalf of young people with RMDs.

We encourage the submission of abstracts to the patient perspective / PARE research track, showcasing activities and research bearing on the patient perspective and interest.
Every year EULAR awards a number of bursaries to the presenting author for an abstract accepted for oral or poster presentation at the congress. EULAR PARE members and patients may apply for bursary under the according category following the submission of an abstract.
PARE Engagement Programme
With the EULAR PARE Engagement Programme EULAR aims to engage with and support National PARE Organisations (EULAR Ordinary members) by providing a EULAR representative or speaker at their events. EULAR PARE is delighted to relaunch this opportunity for National PARE Organisations after the activities had to be paused in the past couple of years due to the pandemic.
- EULAR PARE Knowledge Transfer Programme
Every year, EULAR grants funding to the Knowledge Transfer Programme which enables national PARE organisations to improve and apply skills by learning from the experience of other organisations in the EULAR network.
- Patient Research Partners (PRP)
A related initiative that EULAR has supported in the recent past is the establishment of a EULAR PARE network of trained patient research partners. This network of currently 59 competent patient representatives can be contacted whenever a need for reviewers of scientific research projects or active participation of trained patient research partners is required.

The EULAR Committees regularly establish and publish recommendations for the treatment of various rheumatic disorders. Each of these recommendations are developed by a Task Force of specialists in their field.
EULAR Member Organisations
Supported by its members, EULAR aims to reduce the burden of rheumatic diseases on the individual and society and to improve the treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal diseases.
Each year, PARE produces newsletters which are distributed to the PARE member organisations, updating the network on all activities related to patients.

World Arthritis Day 2022: What is your #RheumaPainPoint?
EULAR's WAD 2022 campaign is focused on understanding the issues the diverse audiences have in the field of rheumatology, such as a shrinking medical workforce, long waiting times for appointments, or lacking understanding of RMDs among governmental decision-makers. Better understanding these 'pain points' will allow us to better address them both at a national and international level, which is EULAR's key goal.
EULAR hosts campaigns to help achieve its goal in the area of Advocacy: to increase participation in work by people with RMDs by the year 2023.
